Respect for Your Privacy

Meketa (“Meketa”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information (“PI”) of identifiable individuals who visit the website (the “Site”) and request information about our services through the Site (the “Information”) or about our business. The privacy of your PI is important to us. This Privacy Notice discloses our privacy practices with respect to the Site, and localized versions of the Site, including the type of PI collected and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared.

In order to provide you with Information, it is necessary for us to possess some of PI of yours. Similarly, without some of that information, we cannot inform you about the services we offer or that you may request (though if you are currently receiving marketing communications from us, you may opt-out of receiving further communications at any time). This Privacy Notice explains our PI policies and practices. It includes, but is not limited to, explanations of the types of PI we may collect about you, the purposes for collecting such information, the circumstances under which we may disclose such information to third parties, the measures we take to secure the confidentiality of such information, your rights regarding your PI, and the way to contact us to exercise those rights.

Amendments to this Privacy Notice will be posted to the Site and will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any amendment to this Privacy Notice shall constitute your acceptance of such amendments.

Types of PI We Collect

Some examples of the types of PI that may be collected when using the Site, and the other information we may receive from other sources are as follows:

  • Contact details, such as your full name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number;
  • Educational, nationality and professional background information;
  • Usernames and passwords;
  • Payment/Banking information;
  • Comments, feedback, posts and other content submitted to staff; and
  • Interests and communication preferences including marketing permissions where appropriate.

The types of PI we collect and use are generally limited to the categories listed below, but may include other information when needed to provide the Information:

  • Contact Details – full name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number.

Purposes for Collecting Your PI

You may provide your PI to Meketa Capital in order to fulfill a request for the Information. You are then entering a business relationship with Meketa Capital and are agreeing to the use of the PI by Meketa Capital and its applicable worldwide affiliated companies, as stated in this Privacy Notice. For the avoidance of doubt, investment advisory services are not covered by this Privacy Notice and are contracted for separately. We request PI for a variety of purposes throughout your interaction with Meketa Capital, some of which are listed below:

  • Contacting you or your designated representative by phone, email, fax, or mail
  • Fulfilling a request for the Information
  • Sharing information about our services and business including investment research
  • Providing you or your representative with marketing communications
  • Fulfilling legal obligations
  • Entering into contracts with you and performing such contracts

Sharing Your PI

This section details that sharing of your PI.

Receiving PI from Third Parties

We may receive your PI from other sources and combine that information with the PI we collect directly from you.

Sharing PI with Third Parties

We will not sell your PI. If it is necessary to share your PI with third parties performing services for us, or acting on our behalf in connection with the services that we may provide to you, we will not allow them to use your PI for other purposes, and we will contractually require them to protect your PI.

We may share your PI with our affiliates. We may do so for the purposes of operating our business, delivering and improving the Information we provide to you, as well as for other legitimate purposes permitted by applicable law such as sending marketing and other communications related to our business.

We also share PI for a variety of additional purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Within Meketa and our affiliates for data processing or storage purposes;
  • As required by law or legal process or to meet national security requirements.

The CCPA and Your Personal Data Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California residents with certain data rights regarding what we do with your PI. If you are a California resident, this section details those rights, how you may exercise them, and what Meketa will do in response.


California residents have the right to request that we disclose, free of charge, the categories and specifics of the PI we collect about them (and/or, if applicable, sell or otherwise disclose to a third party for business purposes). We require a verifiable request from the California resident to ensure that it is, in fact, the California resident who is requesting such a PI disclosure. Once we verify the request, we will provide that information.

A request for disclosure can apply to any PI mentioned in the previous paragraph for as much as twelve months preceding your request. Be advised that we are not required to disclose such information about the PI we collect more than twice in a twelve-month period.

Following our verification of your request, we will disclose, unless otherwise restricted by law, the following PI we collect:

1.    The categories of PI we have collected

2.    The categories of sources from which the PI is collected

3.    The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that PI

4.    The categories of third parties with whom we share PI

5.    The specific pieces of PI we have collected

Following our verification of the request, we will disclose, unless otherwise restricted by law, the following PI that we sell to a third party or otherwise disclose for business purposes:

1.    The categories of PI we have collected that we sell or disclose

2.    The categories of sources from which that PI is collected

3.    The business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, and/or disclosing that PI

Opting Out

Under the CCPA, we are permitted to sell your PI that we possess unless we are advised by you not to. This is often referred to as the right to “opt-out.” Meketa does not intend to sell PI.

Sale of Minors’ PI Only with Opt-In Consent

Under the CCPA, we are permitted to PI we possess about a consumer who we believe to be between the ages of 13 and 16 if the consumer consents (“opts-in”). If we believe a consumer to be less than 13, we may only sell the PI we possess about that consumer if the consumer’s parent or guardian consents (“opts-in”). Meketa does not intend to sell the PI of minors.

Deletion of PI

California residents have the right to request that we delete their PI we have collected. Following our verification of the request, we will comply with the request and delete any or all the PI in our possession that we collected from the California resident and/or require the deletion of any or all such PI in the possession of our service providers, as applicable, to the extent technically feasible and unless otherwise restricted by law. Note that we are not required to delete the PI we have collected where it is necessary for Meketa to maintain the PI in connection with its business purposes, cybersecurity, website maintenance or solely internal uses.

Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

Visiting and navigating the Site will likely involve some collection and storage of your PI. California Marketing Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, California law permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your PI to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Meketa does not intend to disclose your PI to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

Data Security

We are committed to protecting your PI from unauthorized access and use. To help protect your PI, we implement and maintain appropriate technical, physical, and administrative safeguards.

PI from Minors

We do not offer the Information or our services to minors and do not intend to collect PI from children under the age of 13. We follow all local legal requirements with respect to the collection and processing of a minor’s PI.

Notification of Changes

Meketa will occasionally update this Privacy Notice. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the bottom of this Privacy Notice. You agree to visit this site from time to time to review the current applicable policies.
